Solvent coating
- Description: Application of a plastic layer to a textile carrier material in order to specifically change its properties.
- Process: A three-layer transfer coating on a PU base is laminated onto a carrier.
- Applications and effects: Use for trenchless pipe and line rehabilitation.
Advantages of the technology
In contrast to the complete replacement of pipes, trenchless rehabilitation requires little or no earth movement. This leads to shorter repair times, lower costs and less impact on the environment. As soon as the coated pipe liner has hardened, the new, leak-proof pipe takes over the function of the old, defective pipe and drains the wastewater. This technology is particularly advantageous for the rehabilitation of motorways, runways at airports or docks, as it does not require major interventions.
Processes
A three-layer PU-based transfer coating is applied to the carrier material. The maximum width of the cut material is 185 cm. With our machinery we can coat piece lengths of up to 220 meters, with a carrier thickness of up to 8 mm and a maximum infeed width of 195 cm. The coatings are always tailored to the specific requirements of the customer in terms of water resistance, resistance to resins, flexibility and mechanical strength.
