1806 Foundation of Ploucquet
The company, which today operates worldwide, is founded by Christoph Friedrich Ploucquet, a dyer and cloth maker, in Heidenheim an der Brenz.
1840 from trade to product
Installation of a contract weaving mill with 300 mechanical looms. Purchase of a piece dyeing plant.
1903 Start of export activities
Diversification in colours, fabrics, linings, waterproof impregnation. First activities in export markets.
1922 Industrial development
Construction of new industrial dyeing plants and finishes. Start of production of outerwear and sportswear fabrics.
1938 Expansion
Construction and purchase of weaving mills with 1,000 looms. First experiences with cellulose and artificial silk.
2000s
Purchase of the company in Zittau and foundation of the textile finishing company Ploucquet GmbH.
